Just when you thought it was safe to go to DrupalCon, here comes... schedule change!
It turns out there was a late cancellation, so the DrupalCon Paris team has asked me to fill in with Drupal Design Patterns on Wednesday afternoon.
If you write modules for Drupal, you want to be there. Although we'll be approaching the subject from a slightly theoretical slant, the main thrust will be how to write code that other developers will understand quickly, that they'll be able to extend, and how to not reinvent the wheel by leveraging existing solutions and approaches.
While we will be covering some object-oriented techniques, there's far more to design patterns than just OO. Even if you're not not big on OO development, this is still a valuable talk to anyone writing or updating modules to Drupal 7.
I'll see you there!
access to DrupalCon: Design Patterns are back
Hello there Larry you really have very interesting articles posted, congrats!
I wanted to ask you if there is any way I could access to the material of the talk you gave the Drupal conference in Paris about Design Patterns.
I'm doing my research on CMS architectures to give a speech at a peruvian university.
Thanks in advance!
Video is online
The videos of sessions from Paris should be available online on archive.org. I don't have a direct link handy, unfortunately, and I am not sure if there is one on the Paris site. It should be there, though.
