Last week this web site developed a completely bizarre bug interacting with the database that affected only blog entries. I blamed the database. My web host insisted the problem was with the PHP code. So I took the opportunity to just upgrade the site to Drupal 5, finally, and see what would happen.
Fortunately what happened was I now have a fully functioning Drupal 5 site with no more database errors. Yay! The upgrade was quite painless on the whole. I trimmed out a few modules I wasn't actually using in the process, and added in Akismet. We'll see how well it does against the spamming hordes.
And I even varied the theme this time! It's Garland, but it's got a different shade of blue. So there.

And I can't even blame posting late at night this time. :-( Thanks for the note. Fixed.
